Blueprint for 153 gallon pond. These are the pans I drew up in the summer of 1999 for my 153 gallon pond before building it. Jobie is a nickname for my brother. I extended the pond on the left where the lighter markings are.
Possible wildlife pond - a drawing for a possible pond
Possible formal eclectic pond - a drawing for a possible pond; this one shows how I did the edging on my 153 gallon pond to hide the liner and keep everything together.

I set up the 50 gallon Rubbermaid tub basement pond on 10/20/09. Here are those photos:
Basement tub pond just set up with bluebells.
My cats, Tinkie and Barney were anxious to "help."
Basement tub pond - view from the other
direction

the basement. You can also see Sweetie, my rabbit, and her cage, my 20 gallon long tank (with six
spotted roaches and a hermit crab), and the tons of house plants that I brought indoors for the
winter.
Basement tub pond and all the house plants.
Yes, that is a water fountain for the cats.
Basement tub pond - looking in to it past the
jungle.
153 gallon pond on 10/18/09 covered in my new
white net. It looks like a spider's web so my mother had to add a big fake black widow spider to the
net!

I took these two photos of the 50 gallon tub pond on 4/25/09 showing the wood frog tadpoles in
there:

From the 4/1/09 cleaning of the 153 gallon pond:
153 gallon pond before starting,
facing northwest. I took about four more photos but they were all blurry!

The 153 gallon pond is on the right while the 20 and 50 gallon tub ponds are on the left. You
cannot really see any of them but you can see the netting and surrounding gardens.
153 gallon pond facing west on 10/5/08. I
had just put the net on. The net drapes over all the plants in the area.
153 gallon pond facing northwest on 8/3/08 after I removed a ton of terrestrial mint that covered most of the pond.
I took this photo on 6/21/08 of some water lily leaves damaged by snails in my 153 gallon
pond.

On 10/19/07, I bought a betta and put him into the basement tub pond. His name is Homer. You
can see more photos of him on my betta page.

A complete view of the basement pond -
there is foam because I added a dose of MelaFix
From the 3/29/07 cleaning of the 153 gallon pond (as well as
the 20 and 50 gallon tub ponds):
153 gallon - before I got started. You
can also see the buried 50 gallon tub pond and the above-ground 20 gallon tub pond.
153 gallon pond - the overflow shelf area
with an iris. I took the photo to show all the moss growing on the cap bricks.
153 gallon pond empty - this is before I
vacuumed out the last gunk.
153 gallon pond edging - this was to show
with the pond empty how the edging looks over the deep end. There is a cap brick paver and
under that two layers of bricks set in on their own shelves to hide the liner. The water level
comes up above those bricks (about the point between the two layers).
153 gallon pond filled half way up with
the PondMaster filter going.
153 gallon pond done - everything
back.

repotted.
