Pond Plans

Blueprint for 153 gallon pond. These are the pans I drew up in the summer of 1999 for my 153 gallon pond before building it. Jobie is a nickname for my brother. I extended the pond on the left where the lighter markings are.

Possible formal eclectic pond - a drawing for a possible pond; this one shows how I did the edging on my 153 gallon pond to hide the liner and keep everything together.

Other Ponds

Spring 2008:

From the 4/1/08 cleaning of the 153 gallon pond:
153 gallon pond before beginning, facing northwest.
153 gallon pond before beginning, showing the main marginal area and all the spilt gravel. The pink lily is fake.
50 gallon tub pond which I cleaned eight days earlier.
153 gallon pond empty, facing northwest.
153 gallon pond when all done, from a distance, facing northwest.

Winter 2008:

20 gallon basement pond on 1/13/08.

Fall 2007:

On 10/19/07, I bought a betta and put him into the basement tub pond. His name is Homer. You can see more photos of him on my betta page.
The basement pond with Homer in it
A complete view of the basement pond - there is foam because I added a dose of MelaFix

Spring 2007:

From the 3/29/07 cleaning of the 153 gallon pond (as well as the 20 and 50 gallon tub ponds):
153 gallon - before I got started. You can also see the buried 50 gallon tub pond and the above-ground 20 gallon tub pond.
153 gallon pond - the overflow shelf area with an iris. I took the photo to show all the moss growing on the cap bricks.
153 gallon pond empty - this is before I vacuumed out the last gunk.
153 gallon pond edging - this was to show with the pond empty how the edging looks over the deep end. There is a cap brick paver and under that two layers of bricks set in on their own shelves to hide the liner. The water level comes up above those bricks (about the point between the two layers).
153 gallon pond filled half way up with the PondMaster filter going.
153 gallon pond done - everything back.
20 gallon tub pond with its one iris repotted.
50 gallon tub pond with the newly added iris.

These photos are from when I cleaned the 50 gallon tub pond on 3/25/07. Go here for more details and related photos.
